Flut Queensland
Update von der Uni, USC nicht betroffen
Dear Students,
In response to requests for information on the situation on the Sunshine Coast, I'm sending you this update. Firstly, the University was not affected by the flooding. USC was open today and is operating as usual as are the buses, airport and other services on the Sunshine Coast. There was heavy rain yesterday which caused some temporary road closures on the Sunshine Coast, however there was no wide-spread flooding as in other areas. The sun has been out today and the situation on the Sunshine Coast is back to normal.
The main concern over the next couple of days is the Brisbane valley which is about 100 kms (60 miles) to the south. Sunshine Coast is not part of this valley / river system and is not directly affected by the situation there. It is understandable that students coming to Queensland for next semester are concerned with the flood situation. The University and the Sunshine Coast are not affected by what you see on television.
Everything is ok on the Sunshine Coast.
Sincerely Michelle
